1. What we collect
When you create an account: name, email, phone number, language, and city. When you use the platform: pages you view, searches you run, listings you save, and reviews you write.
If you contact a business through us, we share the specific information you choose to send. We don’t share your contact info with businesses unless you explicitly request a quote or initiate the conversation.
2. Why we collect it
To make the product work — show you listings near you in your language, remember your saved favorites, notify you of replies and updates. To improve the product — aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us understand which features are useful. To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, booking confirmations).
We don’t use your data to train AI models that we share publicly, and we don’t sell your data.
4. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data anytime. Use the controls in /me/preferences or write to privacy@arabwen.com.
If you’re in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with privacy laws, you have additional rights including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Email us first — we’ll fix it faster than they will.
5. How long we keep it
Active account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it longer (tax records, fraud prevention logs, legal holds).
Aggregated, anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.
